Sketches
Who are you designing for:
- The user group of Expact is focused on international students in the Netherlands/Rotterdam.

What is their relationship to the collection?
- The International students:
could ‘walk’ through Staatsbosbeheer website if they have google translator for their webpage
could go to nature routes for chill/have fun/make friends

Which content are you ‘interfacing’?
- International students — Staatsbosbeheer website (only in Dutch)
- International students — nature routes
- Purpose of the Expats (what they want)

What type of interaction is fitting for this?
- Provide clear content of the natural routes to international students
- instructing (issuing commands and selecting options)
- Conversing (interacting as if having a conversation) (e.g. Siri)
- Manipulating (interacting with objects by manipulating them)
- Exploring (moving through a virtual environment or a physical space) (e.g. Oculus Rift)

What type of medium is fitting for this?
- AI/Website/app/Brochure/Virtual reality head-mounted display device/Cartoon/Animation/QR code

In general: what are you trying to accomplish through the interface you want to design?
- Want to introduce and provide information about what is on Staatsbosbeheer for international students (who don’t speak Dutch) of what and how they could
achieve the nature around them

Which visual design elements have you already collected/designed that can be useful for this?
- Emojis? (is a worldwide commonly used element by mostly young people. I see a lot of them even use emojis to replace regular languages for online conversations)

Because many international students live in cities, in other words a large number of international schools are located in the major cities of the Netherlands. It reminds me that nowadays people pay much attention to the economic development of countries and cities, and they are attracted to material things. There is nothing wrong with this, except that nature tends to be somewhat forgotten in such a state of life. I wanted to use the concept of 'hidden' land to tell people about the possibility of lifestyle.
However, this was too subjective, it's again designed by a point of view from myself/my culture background (this is affected by the materialism culture at least from Asia)
I realized the project needs to be more universal, I need to design for the OTHER!

Idea of Invitation letter
- use an invitation letter to International students would be lovely that users can feel nature of the Netherlands is welcoming them.
