Feedback for myself
This work starting from a physical interface. I designed an invitation letter in the form of postcards to invite all international students to the beautiful nature of the Netherlands.
Simply by scanning the QR code on posters can access an app, and then choose the natural routes they want to go to in the Netherlands according to the region, the activities they want to participate in and the time.
Although users wanted me to design a logo in the process of User Testing, for this project, the app will be accessible only by scanning the QR code. I want to take this time to drive the importance of physical connection among people to all users.
The app also has a live map function to guide users from their location to the start point of the nature route of their choices. At the end page of the app, I encourage users to deliver invitation letters to their friends in other to spread more nature and love.
This is a project that I struggled with the most in the first year in WdKA. I have to say that designing interfaces and the need to make them logical and testable is super hard for me since I am very poor at logic.
During these 4 weeks, I did user testing, used and learned Adobe Xd for the first time. Also, this is the first time that I designed an app. After the user test, I realized it's not that scary as I thought, and their feedback always make me feel accomplished.
So far, I'm glad that I experienced and learned a lot from this major project.
Time is limited, the project is improbable for always. I wish I can do faster and better next time by paying more attention on daily experiences :)
